  1. I thought you did a really good job with your video. I LOVED the beginning sequence of the movie where you interviewed the different people regarding ecosystem services. I thought that was a really great way of illustrating the public's perception of these services, and their understanding/lack of understanding regarding what ecosystem services really are.
I also liked how you were able to use a Professor! Definitely a well-credited and reliable resource!
Overall, I think you did a great job describing the subject in a succinct, but interesting way.

  2. I thought this was a very informative video, and you covered your material well! I liked the way you highlighted the fact that most people don't even know what Ecosystem Services are! I also liked that you used a professor to describe the term, clever! Only critiques.... were some technical issues in your video. The volume wasn't consistant and some of the captions moved almost too fast to read. But, overall a very good video. Great job!

  3. This was a very thorough job on the video you all did. I liked how Prof. Wiseman basically restated without knowing the group's definition of ecosystem services. On the other hand, it was kindof sad to see peers unsure of the term and describe other concepts instead. Great work.

  4. This video did a great job of depicting how not very man people know what ecosystem services are. It was a very informative video regarding how we cannot live without the services that our ecosystem provides. Biosphere 2 was a failed attempt at recreating the ecosystems services. I have been there and it is awesome to see, but you are right we cannot live without our natural world. The only thing I didn't really care for in the video was the long interview with the professor. I think it would have been better if his interview was a little shorter, but he did a great job describing why we need ecosystem service and real life examples.

  5. I really liked how were interviewed and asked what they thought “ecosystem services” were. Great job bringing in Dr. Wiseman to explain what ecosystem services are and how we can try to modify our behavior to minimize our impact on the environment. Also, bringing up the Biosphere II was a good way to show how we cannot survive like that. Things need to be done.

  6. I really liked this video. I liked the interviews of the public first, then the definition by Dr. Wiseman. The video listed several important ecosystem services, and why we need to protect them. I liked the reference to Biosphere 2 also.

  7. This video succeeded in showing how humans are incapable of creating a man made world that will function as accurately as nature will. I think carbon sequestration and the actual cleaning process of the water should have a little more focus in the video. Dr. Wiseman was a good choice for explaining ecosystem services. I think the interviews were extremely important to outline the population’s perception regarding ecosystem services.

  8. I thought you all interviewing other people about their opinions of ecosystem services was a good way to start off the video. That just shows how little people may know/realize about the topic of ecosystem services. Also, interviewing a professor here at Virginia Tech was another great idea. The professor that you chose provided great information on the area you guys were covering. Overall, I thought this was a great video. Everything from the interviews to your own information flowed well together. Only small issue I would mention, as someone did above, is the volume varied throughout the video. Other than that, I enjoyed it.

  9. I like the interviews it really shows that people don't recognize all that we take for granted. The earth gives us many treasures that we shouldn't take for granted or we'll end up using them up.
